The management company responsible for the Breakers Hotel controlled property ten miles west of the hotel for the use of guests interested in playing golf. The success of the location created a demand for home sites on the golf course. The property was redeveloped into a residential community know as Breakers West. Hirsch Architects was retained to design the theme entry and first new recreation facility for the tennis center. The program called for a pro shop, meeting rooms, food preparation area and tennis courts. The consulting responsibilities included coordination of the other members of the consulting team through the construction process.
