Project:
Saint Andrews Country Club
Location:
Boca Raton, Florida
Size: 45,000 SF
St. Andrews Country Club
experienced a dramatic growth in its residential
development and the needs of the community changed from
the original clubhouse design. The community has three
golf courses and over 600 homes. Hirsch Architects scope
of work was to identify the current community needs. In
addition to upgrading the other functions of the
facility, the primary goal was to expand the dining and
supporting functions by more than half making the
building more than 45,000 SF. The architectural
challenge required maintaining the existing building
style to appear as if it were the original design. The
solution required a creative method of fire separation
which became a feature of the architecture. The
structural design required a unique post-tension
concrete beam to accommodate the panoramic view of the
140 seat dining room onto the golf course, lakes and
fairways.
Hirsch Architects provided full architectural services
including coordination of the consulting team through
completion of construction.
